Today’s picture for invisible illness is a personal one. This is one of about 30 notes that my friend has received since using her handicapped placard. I’m going to say this to you, have you ever seen someone get out of a car parked in a handicapped space and said to yourself “they look too young or they don’t look disabled.” I’m going to go with yes you have, because we all have at one time. I can’t remember doing it, but before I understood the difficulties of invisible illness when I was younger I probably did. Let me ask you this though, when you had that thought was it because you knew with 100% certainty that they weren’t handicapped or did you assume that because of their age and/or not seeing a cane, walker or wheelchair? All I’m asking is that we stop and think when we someone need a mobility aid, park in a handicapped space or say they are disabled that we remember this “DISABILITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AGE OR APPEARNACE.” #spoonie #invisibleillness #disability #chronicillness #rheumatoidarthritis #lupus #fibromyalgia #myofascialpainsyndrome

If nothing else, this post needs to be seen around the internet more. This harassment is not okay and no one should have to deal with it on top of having an invisible illness. This is just another form of anonymous bullying to add to the internet bullying these TROLLS are capable of.

Ignorance isn’t bliss, ignorance is ignorance.

THANK YOU! Thank you for tagging fibromyalgia as well. I genetically inherited it, and was diagnosed officially when I was 14. At 18, I was in so much pain for a period of time that I went to get a handicapped pass, because I was unable to move quickly or for extended periods of time. They refused my claim. Not for lack of documentation, because it was all there, but because so many people with invisible illnesses were using passes, enough people with the same thought process (they dont need/deserve it) complained that they revoked the opportunity for me. They told me no, because it would be “too easy for me to abuse the system” and I “dont look sick”. Mind you, this is from doctors. They basically told me unless I am going to permanently use a walker/cane/wheelchair I couldn’t have one because I might abuse it, since I dont look sick. So PLEASE! If you see someone who you dont think is sick using one, remember that there is always more than meets the eye. If they need it- they do. It isn’t easy to admit to needing help or being sick. Dont make it harder on us. I am sorry your friend went through that. Let them know there is support ♡

  • Decided to try and date again. Looking into online dating as well (I know lots of people who have had success). I am absolutely terrified. I really am scared to put myself out there, and current world situations don't help that. But I miss being in a relationship. Hopefully 4 years is enough healing time to be able to function...meh...

140822 Jonghyun twitter update

@realjonghyun90: 140822 SHINee JONGHYUN + CNBLUE JONGHYUN ‘Ice Buc…: http://youtu.be/te9fawLlkTY

얼음물이 절 감쌀때 전 그 어느때보다 따뜻함을 느꼈습니다
행동으로 함께할때 알수있는 것들이 있죠

When the ice water covered me, I felt a warmness more than ever before.
It’s something that can be known when we do things together through action.

I actually wanted to tag Teacher Lee Sooman, Park Jinyoung sunbaenim, and Yang Hyunsuk sunbaenim, but…
with the hope that all the Jonghyuns in the world can do it with us,
I tag model Hong Jonghyun, Teen Top’s Jonghyun (Changjo), and Nu’est’s Jonghyun (JR)…
I think all Jonghyuns are nice and handsome

@realjonghyun90: 너 같은친구를 둬서 참 감사함 이종현

I’m really thankful to have a friend like you, Lee Jonghyun

I don’t know how I feel right now.
My life in the past 7 days;
Got some sad news from a friend, Got hired as a character at a Halloween haunt (bucket list time right there), I was complimented a lot from my boss and told I am doing a really good job, Trained people at work, Creeped out by a guy who then avoided me, Closed my show
And
Was kissed by a guy who then proceeded to compliment me and make me feel happy
Life should overall be good right?
I think what is getting me is the last one. I am pretty sure he doesn’t like me, even though he kissed me (repeatedly), and he was drunk so that makes it worse, since then I really think it was some kind of sick joke.
I have a lot of dear friends I want to see but our schedules just keep missing each other. I just want a guy to genuinely and not creepily flirt with me, and make me feel loved. I want a hug x.x so pathetic….
